Well, another year has started, and already, most of my resolutions have gone out the window; oh well. Case in point I meant to write this early January.
So I wonder if I will get inundated from so-called SEO specialists in 2022 telling me that my website doesn't rank on Google. In fact, it does and very well, thank you very much. Still, I guess that doesn't stop the fraudsters and phishing attempts. To be honest, there seems to be a lot of bullshit in the SEO industry at present. So if you are looking to improve your website's search ranking, avoid the cold callers and probably avoid companies not based in your country. The best place to look for SEO companies is from recommendations, preferably from people or other businesses you trust. Before embarking on a campaign, get an idea of the cost and how the deliverables will be met. The term 'guaranteed SEO' should raise a red flag.
Is 2022 the year to move your shop online? For obvious reasons, 2020 and 2021 were tough years for the British high street; some small independent retailers used this as an opportunity and created an online presence. So will 2022 be a year when more retailers open an eCommerce store and use it to increase their potential customers? Rest assured, Peppard Creative will be here to assist when you are ready to create your own online shop.
For me, 2021 was good but obviously a challenging year, like everyone else, but exciting opportunities came from the challenges. Working with small businesses is an absolute joy. I enjoyed working with several new enterprises whilst reconnecting with some of my more established clients. 2022 is already shaping up to be a good year. Some new clients are already on board with some exciting projects.
That's enough from me except to wish you a happy 2022.
